Why Purple Bamboo Shin Chasen(matcha whisk) Makes a Difference：
•Finer, More Efficient Frothing: purple bamboo fibers are naturally springier compared to normal bamboo fibers. The elasticity is ideal for making a refined foam. This whisk is carefully finished in the Shin(真) shape, which is one of the most popular due to its elegant curves. It gives around 64 tines, which is sitting between usucha chasen and koicha chasen. This makes shin chasen suitable both for fine, foamy usucha and thick, rich koicha.
•Crafted In Small Batches: unlike mass-produced matcha whisk, each shin chasen is carefully shaped, carved, and polished by our experienced artisan. Every piece is truly one of a kind.

How to blossom a shin chasen:
Before first use, remove the plastic ring from the center of the whisk. Soak only the tine portion (not the handle) in warm water at approximately 70°C for about 5 minutes, or until the inner tines naturally open and relax.
*Avoid using coarse ceramic or rough-textured bowls, as they may damage the tines of the whisk.
